Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Password (stored securely using bcrypt hashing)

Brand and Voice Data

To personalize your content, we collect information you provide during onboarding and settings, including:

  • Content tone and voice preferences
  • Topics and keywords relevant to your brand

Social Media Account Data

When you connect social media accounts, we receive authentication tokens that allow us to publish content on your behalf. We do not store your social media passwords.

Content and Media

We store content generated through the Service, including text posts, uploaded images, and images sourced from integrated providers, as well as your content preferences and scheduling data.

Payment Information

Payment details are processed and stored securely by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVV on our servers. We retain only a Stripe customer ID for managing your subscription.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and general activity patterns. This helps us improve the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Generate AI-powered content tailored to your brand voice
  • Schedule and publish content to your connected social media accounts
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, subscription confirmations, payment receipts)
  • Send product updates and onboarding guidance (you can unsubscribe from marketing emails)
  • Monitor and prevent abuse of the Service
  • Respond to support requests

3. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following third-party services to provide the Service. Each has its own privacy policy:

We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Data Retention

  • Active accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
  • Canceled accounts: We retain your data for 30 days after cancellation to allow for reactivation. After this period, your data may be permanently deleted.
  • Generated content: Posts and media are retained as long as your account is active.
  • Logs: System and activity logs may be retained for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

5. Cookies and Sessions

SocialBotify uses session cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels. Our session cookies are:

  • Essential for the Service to function
  • Not shared with any third party
  • Automatically expire after your session ends or after a period of inactivity

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
  • Bcrypt password hashing
  • Secure API key storage
  • Webhook signature verification for third-party integrations

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Access your data: You can view your account information, brands, and content within the Service at any time.
  • Update your data: You can edit your profile, brand details, and preferences through your account settings.

  • Export your data: You can request a copy of your data by contacting us.
  • Unsubscribe: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Transactional emails (billing, security) will continue.

8. Children's Privacy

SocialBotify is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Data

Your data may be processed and stored in countries outside your own, including the United States, where our servers and third-party providers are located. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
